The Story of

the Dream

Florence Music Week is born in 2026 (MMXXVI) — but its roots go much deeper.

Andrea Decuzzi's dream has always been there, and over time, he has brought his vision to fruition.

Andrea Decuzzi, artist and creative producer, founder of the project “Sorry I'm not a DJ” and Spoon My. A young man who has traveled halfway around the world, he has worked with and followed some of the most important artists and festivals. Now, he has decided to give his all to Florence and share his deep love for music, culture, and the timeless soul of our beautiful city with you.

Florence Music Week isn't just a week. It is an annual event featuring a curated series of performances and happenings across multiple venues throughout Florence. It is not structured as a single festival or just a sequence of events, but as a city-wide initiative. Over time, as the event grows through hard work and investment, it will bring increasingly renowned artists to Florence, offering diverse experiences for every music lover and for those who value what the event represents.

We wanted to make this commitment. It's a commitment to a city that has always inspired art in all its forms, from Renaissance masterpieces to contemporary creativity. Florence Music Week was born to honor this legacy, to create new contemporary experiences and new spaces. We aim to create synergies, make our voices and ideas heard, and allow every form of expression to be experienced and shared in complete freedom.

The first edition of Florence Music Week will take place in April 2026, planned in less than a week as a bold challenge. It will feature a core program of events across various locations, setting a model for future editions to grow into a richer and more engaging experience. This format marks just the beginning of the initiative.

This year is a significant launch: over 50 artists and DJs will participate, with events spread across different venues in Florence. All events are free to attend, encouraging everyone to join and collectively turn the city into a vibrant artistic and cultural hub.

The vision is simple yet ambitious:
to transform Florence into a living stage.

Following the example of major cultural capitals, Florence itself becomes the stage, with Florence Music Week presenting a carefully curated program in numerous venues. Events will run simultaneously across the city, inviting attendees to explore, discover, and experience Florence in new and unexpected ways through music.

Florence Music Week isn't just about listening to music,
It's about experiencing music.

It's about bringing together artists, industry professionals, and music lovers to share rare, engaging, and unforgettable moments.

All this was done without a budget, a sponsor, a partner, a large staff, or an office. Can you imagine if we had all this, and even the collaboration of other local groups? Florence Music Week is an open invitation to collaborators, creators, dreamers, and supporters to help shape something meaningful and important to us.

Our society needs to grow, and perhaps each of us can do it. If we do it together, it can become even more unique, important, and greater. It's a bit crazy to imagine building all this alone.

But the truth is: sharing was never meant to be built alone. At our core, we carry a constant thought we want to see come out.

Because this is just the beginning.

Our dream has begun. And it doesn't end here.

And it belongs to everyone—so come and make it yours. Help us create the future of Florence Music Week together!

Florence is ready.
